A Discovery of Witches Season 2 is set to premiere in 2021
Once the world was full of wonders…and soon it will be again. It’s been a long wait, but we’re finally getting closer to the anticipated release of Season 2 of A Discovery of Witches. The release date has been up in the air, but now we’ve gotten a better idea of when we can expect our favorite supernatural fantasy drama to return.
Starring Teresa Palmer and Matthew Goode as witch Diana Bishop and vampire Matthew Clairmont A Discovery of Witches follows the star-crossed love story of this powerful duo. And if romance isn’t necessarily your thing, it’s set against beautiful European backdrops and there’s plenty of action. Plus a whole host of other interesting characters.
The last we saw of our witch-vampire duo they were preparing to time walk and escape back to Elizabethan London. Given the first look photo we’ve seen, it’s safe to assume they were successful.

When will Season 2 of A Discovery of Witches premiere?
It was previously thought that A Discovery of Witches would premiere its second season in 2020. Unfortunately, it seems that plan has now changed.
It was announced that the premiere date has been pushed back to 2021. Before you get too upset, it thankfully hasn’t been pushed back all that far into 2021. It is expected to air in January of 2021, so really not that much later than the previously anticipated November/December 2020 date.
The January 2021 date has been confirmed by the author of the books as well as the official accounts for the show. Hopefully, this date sticks and we’ll soon be back with our favorite witch and vampire. After all, with the last season ending on a bit of a cliffhanger it’s hard to wait so long for new episodes!
The second season will air on Sky One in the UK in January 2021 but there is no official US premiere date as of yet. It is expected to premiere on Sundance Now and Shudder likely some months after the UK premiere date.
