Siren and other recently canceled shows we already miss
Here are some recently canceled shows we’re truly going to miss!
They say all good things must come to an end, and it’s definitely been proven, but the week of Aug. 2 was just too much to handle! With everything going on with the COVID-19 pandemic the last thing we needed was more of our favorite shows getting canceled.
The week of Aug 2-7 was quite the blood bath for TV watchers as not one, but three popular shows were canceled! Some of us are still trying to cope with The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina ending after part 4, now there’s even more TV despair to deal with!
Should petitions be started to save these shows or should we just let them go? In the past, some petitions have worked, but will it work for these particular shows? We can only hope for the best.
This are our favorite recently canceled shows
E! News: In one of the most shocking cancellations, E! News says goodbye. A staple on E! Network for 30 years, it was the go-to show for the latest entertainment news.
Things seemed to be looking up for the popular long-running series. In 2019, the decision was made to move from Los Angeles to New York, and new shows Pop of the Morning and In the Room were announced but, COVID-19 had other plans.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, NBCUniversal suffered a financial loss and cutbacks had to be made. Pop of the Morning and In the Room was also canceled.
Host Lilliana Vazquez shared her thoughts on the cancellation on Instagram:

Siren: Being a network’s most-watched series couldn’t save it from being canceled. Freeform canceled its mermaid drama Siren after 3 seasons despite being one of its most-watched series. The third season picks right up where season 2 ended, with Ben letting a reporter drown to keep Ryn and her people safe.

This burdens his relationship with Maddie who starts a new romance with a new merman in town Robb. Putting an end to the polygamous relationship between Ryn, Ben, and Maddie
Season 3 ended on a major cliffhanger with Ryn defeating Tia and becoming queen of the sea. Ben went missing, and in the final scene, his body is seen floating in the water. Did he die? Is he alive? Will Ben, Maddie, and Ryn become a couple again? We’ll never know.
High Fidelity: This series just couldn’t hit a note with Hulu. The romantic comedy starring and executive produced by Zoe Kravitz couldn’t make it past one season even though critics loved it. The series is based on Nick Hornby’s novel of the same name and is a gender-swapped reimagining of the 2000 film starring John Cusack.
Originally developed for Disney Plus, but was deemed a better fit for Hulu. It’s never good to find out a show you starred in is canceled and Zoe Kravitz is using her platform to call out Hulu about their lack of diversity.
