Ant-Man and the Wasp is now streaming on Disney Plus

Who’s ready to shrink! Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, and Michael Douglas team up once again in the sequel to 2015’s Ant-Man. This time, the trio try to find Janet van Dyne in Ant-Man and the Wasp, now streaming on Disney Plus.

In Ant-Man and the Wasp, Scott Lang has been under house arrest for two years after the events in Captain America: Civil War. Days before his sentence is up, Hope van Dyne, also known as Wasp, and her father, Hank Pym, open up a tunnel to the quantum realm, where Hope’s mother, Jane, disappeared almost 30 years ago.

Hope comes to Scott for help as she believes her mother is still alive in the quantum realm. While the trio work on a way to retrieve Janet, they run into problems when both Sonny Burch and Ghost try to steal Hank’s lab.

Why is Ant-Man and the Wasp important

Ant-Man and the Wasp is a key movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe because of its positioning in Phase Three. Ant-Man and the Wasp is sandwiched between Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. The events in the film explain why Scott Lang was not present in Infinity War as well as how he survived Thanos’ snap. More importantly, it introduces the quantum realm, which serves as a crucial element in Endgame.

Most of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies are on Disney Plus. Currently, the only films not available on the service are The Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Spiderman: Far From Home.

Mulan is also set to join the streaming service on Sept. 4, which is a risky move from Disney. Will you be paying to stream the movie?
