When it comes to suspense and all things sci-fi, Ridley Scott knows a thing or two (thousand). And now, the iconic director who brought us mega hits like Black Hawk Down, Blade Runner, and the sci-fi classic Alien, has signed on with HBO Max to executive produce the upcoming out-of-this world series, Raised by Wolves. And it’s premiering very soon.

With this one, there’s said to be tons of unforeseen spins on the old “lost in space” routine. From the trailer, however, it’s also clear those spins will include plenty of unfriendly aliens all over the show’s stratosphere (and deeply embedded in my nightmares.)

Jump-out-of-our-skin surprises aside, this is what we can expect to see on the first ever season of the upcoming series, according to HBO:

"Raised by Wolves centers on two androids tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet. As the burgeoning colony of humans threatens to be torn apart by religious differences, the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of humans is a treacherous and difficult task."
