Coastal Elites release date, cast, synopsis, trailer, and more

If you’re looking for something new to watch, you’re officially in luck. HBO is just about ready to release Coastal Elites, the latest cutting edge comedy in socially-distanced movies. And it’s definitely one worth watching.

According to the network, the quarantined film was mostly shot in real time and from afar. Welcome to the future of television, my friends. Or at least, the for now of it.

Coastal Elites synopsis

Written by Paul Rudnick and directed by Jay Roach, the movie explores what quarantined life looks like for Americans during the pandemic through the up close, very personal, and socially distanced lenses of five characters living in New York City and Los Angeles.

HBO says:

"Coastal Elites is a socially-distanced, comedic satire that spotlights five characters breaking down and breaking through as they grapple with politics, culture, and the pandemic…This special presentation explores our current world of deeply divided politics and the universal pursuit of human connection. When the shutdown forces these distinct and impassioned people with varying points-of-view across the United States to cope in isolation, they react with frustration, hilarity, and introspection."
