When will SYFY air Wynonna Earp Season 4, Episode 7?

Wynonna Earp Season 4, Episode 6 left us with a lot of questions but also a lot of hope. One thing it definitely left us with is the need for more episodes.

Sadly, there won’t be a new episode on SYFY on Sunday, Sept. 6. Sorry, but Episode 6 was the midseason finale.

We know; the show doesn’t usually have a midseason finale. Usually, we get the full season running back to back throughout the summer. In fact, it’s very rare that SYFY ever splits a season up in two and offers a midseason finale. But this has been a rare year.

Why split Wynonna Earp Season 4 in two parts?

When SYFY set a return date for the supernatural series, fans learned immediately that it would only be six episodes from the season. That’s all that was filmed before COVID-19 shut everything down.

Instead of making us wait for the rest of the episodes to film, SYFY opted to bring us the first six episodes. After all, we’d already had a year break thanks to the IDW financial mess. So, SYFY knew we needed some episodes.

Wynonna Earp Season 4 will return in 2021

We know that the remaining episodes of the season will return sometime in 2021. What we don’t know is when.

Productions are starting back up around the world, especially in Canada, where Wynonna Earp films. This is great news for our show. It means production can get back on the go right now. In fact, Carter Matt confirms production is happening right now. That could mean everything is complete for a January or February 2021 release date.

However, SYFY may want to hold the remaining episodes until the spring or summer. This would allow the series time to film Season 5 in full (while no official renewal, there are some rumors of it) ready for a 2022 premiere.

Either way, we’re waiting until next year. We can do this, Earpers!
