There’s a new medical drama coming to NBC. This time, it’s a Canadian drama that gets to make its way to U.S. airways. The Transplant series premiere airs tonight.
This is most definitely a must-watch if you love the likes of The Good Doctor and New Amsterdam. The series follows a Syrian refugee who works in a restaurant. What nobody knows (and they possibly don’t accept) is that he was a doctor in his own country.

It’s only after an accident that he is able to prove his skills. He immediately jumps into action to save people, although with a few rudimentary methods. Not everyone is going to be thankful for his actions or believe he is even an innocent party within the accident.
Fortunately, the right people do listen to him. They do pay attention. It opens up to an amazing opportunity, but he will continually need to prove himself and his skills.

Who stars in Transplant?
Hamza Haq plays Bashir Hamed, the Syrian refugee with a dream to continue working as a doctor in Canada.
Laurence Leboeuf, John Hannah, Jim Watson, and Ayisha Issa also star in the series.
Expect plenty of twists and turns. This is one of those shows where you’re not sure who is going to be on Bashir’s side. It’s not easy for him to trust anyone considering the racism faced against him in the first episode.
