5 things to know about Mulan on Disney Plus Premier

You can finally stream the Mulan live-action reboot on Disney Plus Premier

After months of waiting, we finally get a chance to watch the Mulan live-action reboot. It’s available to buy on Disney Plus Premier right now.

The movie reboot is a mixture of the original Chinese ballad and the 1998 animated movie. There are different versions of the ballad, so they’ve all been used to bring a full tale that is respectful to Chinese culture, which means no talking dragon. It also brings many elements that western audiences loved about the animated kid’s movie.

Before you buy Mulan on Disney Plus Premier, here are five things you need to know about it.

Where to watch Mulan

It certainly caused controversy. If you’re willing to wait, you’ll be able to watch Mulan just with your Disney Plus subscription from Dec. 4.

It will likely head to DVD and Blu-ray in the future. We have a predicted date.

Mulan synopsis

The live-action reboot is a mixture of both the original ballad and the 1998 animated movie. When the Emperor of China decrees that one man from every family must serve in the Imperial Army against the Northern invaders, Hua Mulan realizes that it will mean her father’s death. She decides to take his place, pretending to be a man, Hua Jun.

She is tested throughout the epic journey, where she becomes an honored warrior. However, what happens when everyone learns that she’s a woman?

Unlikely to be a sequel

When there are successful movies, there are always questions about sequels. That’s especially the case for Disney movies.

There are no talks of sequels yet. Of course, that doesn’t mean one won’t happen!

Mulan is available to purchase on Disney Plus Premier now and is in theaters that are open.
