Dancing with the Stars Season 29 looks promising thanks to these five stars

Dancing with the Stars Season 29 is ready to premiere on ABC, and it has huge potential. The reality competition almost always has a great mixture of contestants who are bound to be great dancers and those that are simply there for the drama; and this year is no exception.

Before we even get into the exciting prospects for stars, though, there are two behind-the-scenes changes that should give this latest DWTS season a huge boost: First off, Tyra Banks is the new host; and while this has upset some longtime fans, causing accusations of tokenism, this really is a win.

Banks should be able to breathe some new life into the series, which after 28 seasons of Tom Bergeron, it sorely needed. The loss of Erin Andrews is a little bit less easy to explain away, but reality TV is a breeding ground for things that make you go “huh?” after all.

Dancing with the Stars Season 29 is stacked with perfect competitors

That brings us to our next point: Derek Hough. Now, in the beginning, Hough was one of the DWTS professionals. Eventually, he moved on; but he’s now returning to the series as a judge and replacing Len Goodman.

Goodman “is unable to judge this season due to coronavirus travel restrictions.” And it’s no loss whatsoever, considering just how great of a judge Hough has been on World of Dance. Honestly, if he became a part of the judging panel for every single dance competition, we can’t say we’d be mad about it.

So, with an already promising setup, that brings us to the actual celebrities who will be appearing as a part of this newly-refreshed competition. Dancing with the Stars Season 29 has a ton of soon-to-be dancers who we can’t wait to watch. Let’s take a look at the top five.
