British chef Gordon Ramsay is a household name at this point, becoming a full-blown celebrity over the years through his various TV appearances and his own shows. From his first series, Boiling Point, in 1998, there’s no denying this guy is a star.

Whether you love or hate Gordon Ramsay, you can’t knock his success. At 53 years old, Forbes estimates his earnings for 2020 at $70 million, landing him a spot on their list of top-earners for the year. According to Celebrity Net Worth, the famed chef is worth about $220 million.

So, even with five kids, it’s obvious Gordon isn’t strapped for cash. That would explain why people are furious with the price of his full English breakfast at his restaurant in London, the Savoy Grill.

The backlash began when Gordon Ramsay took to Twitter to share a video of the English dish.

“The most amazing Full English…. can’t wait for you to try it from 21st September at Savoy Grill !,” Gordon wrote on social media. You can see his post below.

According to Insider, the dish costs £19 ($24.45), and Twitter users quickly started roasting the chef for the high price and lack of food. A particularly annoyed follower replied:

"1 sausage? American style bacon? No beans? No black pudding? Green stuff? No fried bread or toast? Not even a choice of hash or bubble? I’m Welsh & I know that’s not a full English. Where’s the mug of tea?"

Others brought up the price of the dish, with one sharing an image of the menu and writing, “Wow £19 for that breakfast…also where’s the Beans..”

Clearly, people were unimpressed with Gordon Ramsay’s latest meal, and he received thousands of replies about it. Funnily enough, the TV personality decided to hit back at one of the complaints, and his response is actually hilarious.

When one person shared an image of what they believed to be a full English breakfast, Gordon replied, “That’s called a Full English Classic Heart Attack you idiot sandwich [sandwich emoji].”

It looks like Gordon and his followers will just have to agree to disagree on this one. People are very angry over his dish, but the Hell’s Kitchen star is not budging.
