Big Brother 22 Week 7: Who did the HOH nominate?
By Noah Mussay
Who won the Big Brother 22 Week 7 HOH competition, and who did they nominate?
Spoilers ahead for the September 20th episode of Big Brother 22.
Last week, Ian Terry got evicted by a vote of 5-3 and became the first member of the Big Brother 22 jury, blindsiding David, Da’Vonne, and Kevin and causing tension between the trio.
As a result, this week’s HOH competition was imperative for the three as The Committee has shown no signs of slowing down their reign of terror. Were David, Da’Vonne, or Kevin able to pull out a win? Let’s discuss everything that happened on last night’s episode of Big Brother 22.

Who flipped?
Before Eviction Night, David devised a plan to create a 4-4 vote and force Dani to break a tie and expose her true allegiances. After David promised Ian his vote, Ian approached Da’Vonne, who was skeptical of moving forward with the plan and putting herself in a position to be exposed.
When she later approached Kevin, he would feel a similar apprehension, noting in the DR that he distrusted David after David lied about possessing the Disruptor Power, which he had used to take himself off the block last week. However, after confirming the plan with David, Kevin was on board.
Unfortunately, he would then go to confirm the plan with Dani, tipping her off in the process. In the DR, Dani would tell the audience that she planned to use this information to make David public enemy number one. Luckily, she would have Nicole on her side who, despite promising her vote to Ian, had made it clear in the DR that she was loyal to The Committee.
As a result, Nicole would end up voting out Ian, making the vote 5-3 and making Da’Vonne and Kevin suspicious of David. Following the HOH competition, where the HouseGuests had to put together a 3D fire hydrant puzzle, and Memphis became the new HOH, Da’Vonne would voice her suspicion to Dani and Nicole that David flipped the vote, a suspicion which both women fueled.
Meanwhile, Kevin and David would discuss the vote in the Photo Room, and although David would assure Kevin that he didn’t flip, Kevin wasn’t buying it.
Unfortunately for David, the worst was yet to come as Da’Vonne, devastated at the thought of being betrayed by one of her closest allies, started to spiral, and emotions would come to a head when she questioned him about the vote later that night.
Although he would also assure her that he didn’t flip on her and Kevin, Da’Vonne refused to believe him and told him that he’d made her chances of surviving in the game two times harder, an accusation that caused David to storm out of the room.
In conversation with Kevin later, David, who felt defeated, would maintain his innocence and suggest that Nicole set them up, and idea which Kevin shut down in the DR.
Nothing good ever happens on taco night
As the HouseGuests were about to sit down for a taco dinner, thanks to the house chef Cody Calafiore, Memphis called them into the living room for this week’s Have-Not Ceremony. Last week’s Have-Nots were David, Da’Vonne, and Ian. Since Ian got evicted last week, however, Memphis told the HouseGuests that there would be only two Have-Nots this week.
Da’Vonne would select her replacement first, and to no one’s surprise except the person she chose, she would choose, Christmas, who would outwardly question Da’Vonne’s motives and, in the DR, say that she would get her revenge at next week’s Have-Not Ceremony.
Unfortunately, Da’Vonne wasn’t the only one striking up the ire of one of her fellow HouseGuests as Cody would get angry about having to miss out on the taco meal that he’d prepared when David chose him to be a Have-Not for the week.
If it sounds too good to be true, it is
Fearing that he would find himself on the block during yet another Memphis HOH reign, David headed upstairs to plead his case.
Although Memphis would offer David a “seat at the table,” referring to his Week 2 nomination speech when he called David a rookie, Memphis would tell him that he’d keep him off the block with the understanding that David wouldn’t try to win the Power of Veto if chosen.
While Memphis made it clear in the DR that this was all a ruse to backdoor David, David would agree to those terms. When the Nomination Ceremony came around, Memphis would appear to be true to his word, choosing to nominate Da’Vonne and Kevin.
Who will the Power of Veto? Find out on the next episode of Big Brother 22 that airs on September 23 at 8/7c on CBS.
