Station 19 Season 4 release date, cast, synopsis, trailer, and more
Everything we know about the Station 19 Season 4 release date and more so far
It was certainly no surprise when Station 19 was renewed for a fourth season. The series is one of the strongest on ABC. What we needed to know was when Station 19 Season 4 would premiere.
This year has been a difficult one. We learned quickly that the firefighter drama would move back to the fall, but we had no idea when the premiere dates would be. Shows couldn’t return to filming during the summer to allow for a traditional end-of-September return date.
The good news is we now have a premeire date for Station 19 Season 4. We also have a bit of an idea of what to expect in the beginning episodes of the season.
Station 19 Season 4 release date
Let’s start with when the show will premiere. Station 19 Season 4 will premiere on Thursday, Nov. 12 at 8/7c.
More from ABC
- Dancing with the Stars season 32 week 9 scorecard: Who went home on DWTS?
- Roger Howarth is leaving General Hospital (Cast exit explained)
- Taylor Swift won’t appear in special Dancing with the Stars episode
- ABC will start rolling out its midseason schedule January 2024 (Release dates and airtimes)
- Grey’s Anatomy season 20 officially has a premiere date (Everything to know)
It will be a crossover with Grey’s Anatomy once more. While some fans are fed up of constant crossovers, the premiere does make sense. After all, the firefighters and doctors are going to be fighting many of the same problems as we’re set partway through the pandemic.
We get three hours of our favorite Shonda shows. Grey’s Anatomy premieres on the same night with a two-hour episode.
Station 19 Season 4 cast
Most of the cast is remaining the same. We did have to say goodbye to a couple of main cast members last season (I’m still a little salty about one of them), but so far, there are no signs that others will be leaving.
We do have a new series regular joining the show. Stefania Spampinato is moving from Grey’s Anatomy to Station 19. This isn’t all too surprising with the way Carina’s storyline became more about Maya than anyone at Grey Sloan Memorial. All I hope for is Carina to get a real storyline and not always just be someone to use for other characters.
Station 19 Season 4 trailer
There is a teaser for the two Shonda Rhimes shows. It doesn’t give too much away, using a lot of old footage for both shows. However, it sets the tone for the pandemic storyline.
Station 19 Season 4 synopsis
So, where are we with Station 19 Season 4? The show is going to pick up partway through the pandemic. There was no way around that when Grey’s Anatomy decided to do a pandemic storyline. These two shows are set in the same universe and cross over a lot.
However, there are a lot of other storylines still to contend with from Station 19 Season 3. There is still Ryan’s death to handle. That was pushed to one side because of everything with Pruitt, so I hope some time is spent on that, especially when it comes to the firefighters working with the cops. Who will take Ryan’s place on the show for that need?
Then there are Andy’s realizations throughout the final episodes of last season. She married Sullivan quickly, mostly to make sure her dad to walk her down the aisle. However, she’s starting to have second thoughts. It doesn’t help that her father may not have been the man she always thought he was and there are clues that maybe her mother isn’t dead after all but in hiding.
The fourth season will need to delve deep into Andy’s backstory.
But it can’t just focus on Andy. We have Maya realizing that her father was abusive and maybe she is too. Then there’s Dean trying to manage being a single father and Vic dealing with her feelings for Dean. There is a hell of a lot happening within the firehouse.
