At the end of Week Two of Dancing With the Stars, which pair found themselves at the Top 5 of the leaderboard, and which couple was sent packing? Let’s discuss it!
1. Justina Machado & Sasha
This week, Justina and Sasha found themselves at the top spot, bumping Skai Jackson and her partner Alan from the running. In their intro package, Justina and Sasha celebrated getting straight sevens for their performance last week, and Justina talked about growing up in the inner-city of Chicago where opportunities to be a performer seemed nonexistent.
Nevertheless, she showed up to the ballroom to perform last night as she and Sasha danced the Foxtrot to Mariah Carey & Whitney Houston’s “When You Believe.”
To this performance, the judges praised Sasha’s choreography and Justina’s natural ability to dance with passion and connect with the audience. The couple’s only note would come from Bruno Tonioli as he warned Justina to watch out for her turns to maintain the quality of her performances.
Still, the couple found themselves maintaining their streak, coming away with another set of straight sevens, making their total for the week 21 out of the 30 with a combined score for both weeks of 42 out of 60.
