The Haunting of Bly Manor, Schitt’s Creek and more
There are some major new originals heading to Netflix this month. One of those is The Haunting of Bly Manor, the sequel to Hill House. The series has become an anthology horror one, with this season based on the book The Turn of the Screw. It tells the tale of a nanny who heads to a beautiful estate that may have a few dangerous ghosts.

For those with children, Carmen Sandiego Season 3 is heading to the streamer during the month. This is an awesome tale of a woman raised to be a thief. What happens when she turns her back on the thieves?
And we can’t overlook The Trial of the Chicago 7. This Netflix Original film has an outstanding cast, including Sasha Baron Cohen, Eddie Redmayne, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. It tells the story of the 1969 trial that saw seven defendants charged with conspiracy by the federal government. It all linked to countercultural protests in Chicago during the 1968 Democratic National Convention. It’s a case that transfixed the nation, and a movie that you definitely need to watch immediately.
For those who want something other than Netflix Originals, Schitt’s Creek Season 6 will be available during the month. This is the final season, and the one that led to all the awards at the Emmys. Yes, God, Yes is also a worthy watch during the month.
What’s leaving Netflix in October?
What about the notable exits? As usual, there are a few. All seven seasons of Parks and Recreation are leaving the streaming service. They’ll be heading to Peacock very soon.
The Interview is leaving Netflix. For those who love outrageous, satirical comedies, this is worth the watch before it goes.
The 200 movie The Patriot is also among the list of exits. This Mel Gibson movie also stars the late Heath Ledger. When one man’s son is killed by the Britsh Army, he joins the Revolutionary War with the Patriots to get his revenge.
