Season 2 of CW’s Batwoman has many questions to answer, even more than expected! Here is everything we know about it so far.

The superhero drama leaves fans with new mysteries and questions, but the departure of Ruby Rose as Batwoman herself came unexpectedly for everyone involved. With many considering Batwoman to be a fail, several fans expected a cancelation. But the show goes on!

Who is returning for a second season and when will it premiere on the CW? Let’s dive right in. And please note we’ll be updating this list with new information as we learn it.

Batwoman season 2 release date

Unfortunately, we’re not sure when the second season will premiere on the CW. The series received a season 1 order of 22-episodes, but only premiered 20. Still, the show managed to tie up a few storylines while also saving a lot of suspense for what’s to come.

Batwoman season 2 was expected to premiere around October 2020, but because of COVID-19, we won’t see it until January 2021. No exact date, but good enough! We’ll keep you posted!

Batwoman season 2 cast

We already know Ruby Rose is out of the picture, but who is taking over? Production has cast Javicia Leslie as Ryan Wilder. This character will take on the superhero suit next.

Rachel Skarsten, Camrus Johnson, Meagan Tandy, Nicole Kang, and Dougray Scott are also set to return.

Batwoman season 2 trailer and synopsis

There’s no trailer or sneak peek available just yet, but we expect this to come as we get closer to the end of the year. Again, we’ll be sure to let you know about the latest!

What we do know, is that Kate Kane will, obviously, not be around. Season 2 may pick up with a brief explanation of Kane’s disappearance and how her role as the hero should be taken over by someone else.

Entertainment Weekly also teases that Safiyah will have a large role this season, and there will be a new love triangle to follow.
