Everything you need to know about Superstore Season 6
Are you ready to get back to Cloud 9? Things might look a little different at our favorite fictional big-box store, in more ways than one. A lot has changed since we last left Superstore, and we’re not just talking about the casting shake-up that will rock the NBC sitcom’s sixth season.
In Superstore Season 6, the sitcom will confront the newest challenges facing its essential workers, as promised by the season’s catchy tagline, “More essential than ever.” The season will also celebrate the show’s 100th episode, but that celebration will also say goodbye to a beloved member of the Cloud 9 crew.

Superstore Season 6 release date
Although originally intended to premiere one week earlier, Superstore’s sixth season will now premiere on Thursday, Oct. 29 at 8/7c on NBC. As always, the series will also stream on NBC’s streaming platforms, including the network’s website (and app) and Peacock. Currently, Superstore is also available to stream on Hulu, and it’s safe to assume new episodes will appear on the streamer following their televised airings.
Superstore Season 6 cast
Of course, the sixth season will be down its leading lady as America Ferrera departs the series. But since her farewell was cut short due to the production shutdown on the two-part Season 5 finale, Ferrera will return for not only the Season 6 premiere but the season’s second episode, which marks the sitcom’s 100th episode. It’ll be a bittersweet celebration and send-off.
However, the comedy still holds onto the rest of its main cast. Ben Feldman, Lauren Ash, Colton Dunn, Nico Santos, Nichole Sakura, Mark McKinney, and Kaliko Kauahi are all returning to their roles as Cloud 9 employees. There’s no word on upcoming guest stars for the season, and Feldman shut down predictions that the series would stunt cast a replacement for Ferrera’s Amy and that Jonah would be courting a new love interest.
Superstore Season 6 synopsis
Going into the sixth season, Superstore still has the daunting task of writing Amy out of the series. In the Season 5 finale, Amy accepted a position at Cloud 9 corporate in California.
Jonah insisted that he would move with her and her children across the country, though the actual fate of her new position and their supposed are left up in the air by a pesky “to be continued.”
Superstore will tackle the COVID-19 pandemic in the new season, and the premiere episode will find Amy beginning her new job remotely. (Inevitably, she will pack her bags for California in the 100th episode.)
Since the sitcom has always reflected what’s going in the world, no series is more adept at illustrating the current state of the world and the changes it has created, especially for essential grocery store workers.
