Chicago Med season 6 release date, cast, synopsis, trailer, and more

Almost as soon as Chicago Med began filming its highly-anticipated next season, production was postponed once again. However, it still sounds like will the show will definitely go on and maybe, just maybe, the medical drama’s season 6 premiere will happen at its originally scheduled time. Here’s to hoping!
But for now, we’ll have to wait and see.
As TV Insider reports, NBC‘s adjusted fall schedule has included multiple production delays for a wide array of shows. Reportedly, after a COVID-19 screening this past week, Chicago Med was added to the list of postponed productions for roughly two weeks and ultimately, for safe measure.
While we wait, let’s take a quick peek at what we can expect from season 6 of Chicago Med when it inevitably airs. Here’s what we know so far about the upcoming season of the NBC medical drama.

Delays aside, the release date is still currently scheduled for Wednesday, November 11 on NBC.

Reportedly, the talented cast is set to include Will Halstead, April Sexton, Natalie Manning, Ethan Choi, Crockett Marcel, Maggie Lockwood, Sharon Goodwin, and Daniel Charles.
Chicago Med season 6 synopsis
For those unfamiliar with the medical drama, the series is actually the third installment of Dick Wolf’s Chicago franchise. With that said, this one’s worth a watch even if you’re unfamiliar with the other two parts.
Chicago Med’s premise follows the day-to-day dealings and super intense job requirements of emergency department doctors and nurses at the top of their field, working at a highly respected (and fictional) hospital called Gaffney Chicago Medical Center.
More time at Gaffney is definitely expected. But right now, it’s not totally clear what creators have in store for the main characters. With that said, there have been a few somewhat reasonable fan theories floating around. For those familiar with Wolf’s Chicago franchise, for instance, many believe that Chicago Fire crossovers seem highly probable for season 6.
