Group B on The Masked Singer Season 4 is full of excellent performers. The guessing game is on, and we’re onto one of the theories for Sea Horse.

Out of all the Group B contestants, Sea Horse has the most powerful voice. She is giving Sun in Group A a run for her money. But who is under that mask?

There are a lot of guesses from Tori Kelly to Carrie Underwood. The one we’re focusing on today is Jessica Simpson. Could she be Sea Horse on The Masked Singer? Let’s look at the clues and listen to the performance.

Daisy Duke shorts, chicken of the sea, and more

We’ll start with some of the clues from the package. We saw the Daisy Duke shorts, which is a reference to the Dukes of Hazzard movie. Then there was the chicken of the sea comment, connecting to Simpson’s past confusion over tuna.

The feathers gave it away for Joel McHale, who pointed out that Simpson’s daughter is called Birdie. It is certainly a good guess.

There was also a mention of experiencing “unimaginable loss and pain.” Jessica Simpson did marry 98 Degrees member Nick Lachey, but their marriage didn’t work out. She recently spoke out about her marriage and the heartbreak they both went through, praising Lachey for turning it into something beautiful.

What about the voice?

We have to listen to the performance, as that’s often a giveaway for who is under the mask. It could sound like Jessica Simpson, but it’s often hard to tell. Due to the time Jessica rose to fame, there was a lot of focus on bubble pop and autotune. She came in at a time of Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.

However, she does have a powerful voice. Just listen to this mashup of difficult songs to hear how Sea Horse could be Jessica Simpson.

The voice also has hints of other singers. So does the clue package. Could it be Carrie Underwood or Tori Kelly? We’ll have to wait and see, but I think it’s going to be closer to the end of The Masked Singer Season 4.
