Academy Award nominee Jake Gyllenhaal is an A-lister and top Hollywood talent. He is renowned for acting in blockbuster movies, so it wasn’t easy to decide which of his movies made this top 10 greatest movies so far list.

Gyllenhaal is an actor who always receives praise from both critics and movie audiences, but for some reason, he is yet to bring home an Oscar.

The most recent blockbuster movie that he starred in was Spiderman: Far From Home, where he is Mysterio (Spiderman’s most dangerous foes). In this Spiderman movie, we see Gyllenhaal’s full talent on display.

Gyllenhaal has had acting roles in many top movies throughout his acting career. Gyllenhaal’s movies vary from action and adventure, drama, and comedy to thriller and drama. These movies include Spiderman: Far From Home, Nightcrawler, and The Good Girl. 

Many people would be completely unaware that Gyllenhaal was first a childhood actor. From the age of 10, he had a small role in the movie 1991’s City Slickers, where he played Billy Crystal’s son, and he also appeared in A Dangerous Woman  (1993). Gyllenhaal’s father directed A Dangerous Woman.

To add to Gyllenhaal’s decorated acting CV, he has also had rare appearances in TV shows, including Man Vs. Wild, Inside Amy Schumer, End of Watch: Extras and Southpaw: Extras. In the TV show Man Vs. Wild (a show that ran for seven seasons), Gyllenhaal guest-starred as the celebrity adventurer in six episodes alongside the series main star Bear Grylls.
