X-Files

As I mentioned, The X-Files is one of those TV theme tunes I’ll get stuck in my head accidentally when trying to think of another. It’s just so memorable.

One of the best things is that it suits the series so well. You know what type of TV show you’re going to watch when it comes to hearing the first few beats. It’s not a lovey-dovey sitcom (although it did have one of the greatest ships going), but one that focuses on sci-fi and creepiness.

The quality of the theme tune continued with the entire music for the show. It’s one of those where everything simply fell into place.

The Big Bang Theory

“The whole universe was in a hot damn state…” Now try not to sing the rest of this TV theme song.

Yes, you knew The Big Bang Theory was going to be on this list. It’s one of those that all fans learned the words to very quickly (not hard if you’ve binge-watched) and danced along with from the very beginning. Now, you just hear the first couple of words and you’ll sing the rest of the theme song.

Do you know the entire song? The Bare Naked Ladies have a whole track that you’ll want to listen to, similar to a few TV theme songs on this list. There are verses that don’t make it to the TV credits because of length, but they continue the theme of the song. It’s all about the big bang. Hey!
