Leah Messer responds after she’s shamed for her ‘old lady’ hands and nails

The ladies of the Teen Mom franchise are no strangers when it comes to criticism and social media shade. In fact, most of them have spoken out on this multiple times, either in response back to the backlash, or while talking about being cyber bullied in general. Leah Messer from Teen Mom 2 is no exception.

The mom-of-three has been incredibly open and vulnerable when it comes to her past troubles, including drug abuse, as well as her current struggles raising three daughters and experiencing the ups and downs of dating.

Leah has been mom-shamed plenty of times throughout the years, as well as received other criticisms for the way she’s acted on TV. Unfortunately, she’s also faced backlash for her appearance, and the appearance of her daughters. So terrible!

For the latest rude remark regarding her appearance, Leah Messer is thankfully not taking the negativity to heart. Instead, she’s laughing off the social media hate, and clapping back where she sees fit.

It all started, as a fan on Reddit caught, when Leah posted a gorgeous photo of herself sitting outside on what appears to be a porch to her Instagram page. Haters gotta hate, it seems, because she soon received a comment reading, “Dem hands tho [laughing face emoji]. u got the hands of an old lady [skull emoji].”

Leah took the comment with stride, responding, “true datttt [laughing face emojis].” Apparently, her willingness to not take the remark seriously prompted others to leave nasty comments of their own.

Another person jumped in with, “yea you definitely don’t need to accentuate them by wearing those gosh awful witch nails. #DemNailsGottaGoGirl.” Ouch. Why all the hate, people?! Well, Leah commented back to that with, “these are my nails.. Haha. I do not have artificial nails on. However, I loveee them both and that’s really all that matters [kissy face emoji].”

Leah is totally right in her response! First of all, her nails look perfectly normal and nice. And secondly, who cares what they look like anyway, as long as she likes them? We’re hopeful the MTV personality won’t take these comments too harshly, because she looks stunning in her post!
