The CW 2021 premiere dates: The Flash, Charmed, All American, and more
The CW 2021 premiere dates have been confirmed for delayed fall shows
Hearing that the fall shows on The CW were delayed to the new year was difficult, but understandable. There wasn’t much anyone could do about the pandemic. The good news is we now have The CW 2021 premiere dates.
The Flash, Charmed, All American, and much more will return in the new year. Meanwhile, Walker and Superman and Lois will debut. Get ready for a packed January and February.
The Flash and Superman and Lois aren’t returning right away
More from CW
- The CW’s culture of pulling shows continues as Everyone Else Burns and Run the Burbs are removed from the schedule
- All American: Homecoming season 3 release updates, strike delay, and more
- The CW is out of the superhero business with Superman and Lois canceled
- The Spencer Sisters filming locations: Where is the CW drama filmed?
- The Librarians: The Next Chapter release updates and everything we know so far
Something to point out is that while many shows are returning in January, The Flash and Superman and Lois aren’t on that list. The CW 2021 premiere dates for them are set for February.
It’s not clear exactly why this is, but it’s likely linked to filming. The two shows were delayed more than most others. Rather than put the pressure on the shows and reduce the quality, the network has pushed back the premiere dates.
And they’re not alone. Black Lightning Season 4 won’t premiere until February either. However, this is the start of February instead of the end.
Other shows are returning in January 2021. Whose Line Is It Anyway? and Penn and Teller: Fool Us will kick off the premiere dates with new cycles.
Canadian drama Trickster on The CW 2021 premiere dates
I’m stoked to see that Trickster has been added to the lineup. The Canadian supernatural drama only started a few weeks ago, and it’s already so good. It’s perfect for fans of Supernatural, which we’ll be saying goodbye to on Nov. 19. (I’m still not sure how I feel about that.)
The series is the latest in a line of Canadian acquisitions, and it’s about time some of the great Canadian dramas got more attention. Trickster follows Jared, an Indigenous teen who is struggling to keep afloat. When he meets a mysterious stranger, his whole life is turned upside down. There is a lot of representation in the series already, and I hope it stays that way.
