Tricks, treats, and trolls. Oh my, indeed. Jenelle Evans is firing back after one troll had not-so-nice things to say this Halloween, reports The Sun

On Instagram, Jenelle shared a festive photo where she’s seen affectionately posing with on-again, off-again (and currently on-again) spouse, David Eason.

In the sweet shot, the former Teen Mom 2 star wore a cute black Jack-o-lantern patterned shirt, a cap, and a happy smile. She placed her hand on her husband’s chest and in the caption, the 28-year-old wrote, “‘I like me better when I’m with you.’ [heart emoji] #Halloween”.

Expectedly, not everyone liked what they saw, and many disagreed with the statement that Jenelle Evans and David Eason are “better” together. Jenelle, no stranger to online hate, was likely prepared for all rude comments, as well as the anticipated and ongoing backlash that often comes from sharing posts supporting her historically troubled relationship with Eason.

It’s also clear that the ex MTV star is learning how to pick her online battles, when to let the social media hate slide, and when to say something. This time, Jenelle Evans saw one comment definitely worth responding to. And so she did.

One particularly unkind troll took a little time out of their day to comment, “Ya’ll need to lose some major weight. Eat more salad!!” Quickly, fans in Jenelle’s corner were quick to jump to her defense, as well as David’s. One fan clapped back with, “Why do they need to lose weight exactly?” Apparently, Jenelle thought that was a pretty good question.

The controversial reality star chimed in after that, replying, “Yeah exactly… For who? Cuz our family is happy no matter what weight we are.” And frankly, that’s what matters.

We fully support Jenelle Evans standing up for herself and her family. After all, there’s never a good reason for unnecessary shade like this. But as The Sun notes, Jenelle has been causing quite the social media stir lately with her some of her most recent TikTok videos, and not in a good way.

In case you’ve missed her latest clips, audiences aren’t too happy about what they’re seeing. Some of Evans’ most questionable clips include filming herself while driving and perhaps worst of all, enjoying herself a little too much while in a hospital waiting room.

So my guess is, it’s likely going to be hard for Jenelle Evans to dodge the ongoing online hate right now, no matter how well intended her Halloween post might’ve been.
