Kailyn Lowry opens up on her ‘unspoken loyalty’ to ex-husband Javi Marroquin

All drama aside, Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin appear to have a special relationship.

According to Us Weekly, the mom-of-four says she has a “weird unspoken loyalty” with her ex-husband, and apparently possesses no negative feelings towards him.

During an episode of Lowry’s podcast Coffee Convos, she opened up about their relationship status, revealing to friend and co-host Lindsie Chrisley, “I don’t hate Javi at all,” adding, “I just don’t hate him.”

Of all Kailyn Lowry’s complicated baby daddy relationships, it sounds like this co-parenting partnership comes with the least complications for the Teen Mom 2 star.

As noted by US Weekly, Lowry and Marroquin tied the knot in September 2012. After being married for about four years, the two decided they were better off alone and perhaps, as friends, splitting in 2016.

The pair share one child together, their six-year-old son, Lincoln. And apparently, what they continue to also share is a mutual trust.

Of their split, Lowry said that she was comfortable with Javi openly discussing, “whatever he felt like he wanted to tell, whatever he wanted to film about,” and even “whatever he made up in his own head.” How trusting.

Kailyn continued on the podcast, claiming that she allowed her ex to “drag” her “through the mud” after their breakup. On top of that, the reality star said she never defended herself, no matter what he said.

She went on to share the reason for letting Javi say whatever he wanted on and off camera, crediting their unique bond. She admitted:

"I have a weird, unspoken loyalty to him that I have not figured out yet. I would always wish the best for him."

Unspoken loyalty or not, their relationship hasn’t always been smoothing sailing, and no one is denying that. But apparently, not even the negative things Javi has said about Kailyn in the past could ever change her stance or trust in him.

And as many Teen Mom 2 fans know all too well, Marroquin has previously said plenty of negative things in regards to their notably complicated relationship and its end. Still, according to Lowry, that’s okay.

No matter what happens between them, Kailyn Lowry maintains that her ex is a “great dad” and a “great guy,” so maybe whatever he says, Kail trusts that it comes from a good place. Interesting.
