Let’s look back at the best moments of Big Brother 22 All-Stars

Fans rejoiced at seeing fan-favorites such as Janelle Pierzina, Kaysar Ridha, Keesha Smith, and Kevin Campbell return to the Big Brother House on the premiere night of Big Brother 22 All-Stars.

Unfortunately, it would be a season brought down by pre-gaming, and, although Janelle and Kaysar would rise from the ashes in Week 1 to secure their safety, it would not be enough to prevent The Committee from rising to power and dominating the game. As a result, the season ended up being more than a little predictable. Nevertheless, there was still some fun to be had.

Let’s discuss the best moments of Big Brother 22 All-Stars.

Big Brother 22 All-Stars: David redeems himself

This season would see a redemption arc for David Alexander. In Big Brother 21, the Camp Director Twist saw Jackson Michie be named “Camp Director” and given the responsibility of choosing four HouseGuests to banish from the house.

The banished HouseGuests would then have to compete in a Black Box competition, wherein they were taken to a dark room and made to find their way out, with the last person to escape being “evicted” from the house. Unfortunately, of those four HouseGuests was David Alexander, who would find himself being the last person to finish the competition and being evicted from the Big Brother House. Although he would return to the house for a chance to win his way back into the game by competing against three other evicted HouseGuests, David would come up short.

So, coming into this all-star season as a former HouseGuest that hadn’t spent more than a few hours playing the game, David had a lot to prove. Unfortunately, his social game left a lot to be desired, and David would find himself struggling to maintain allies. In Week Two, he would be nominated alongside his fellow Big Brother 21 HouseGuest Nicole Anthony, and although he would survive the week, it would be an uphill battle for him from then on.

In Week Five, the Black Box competition would return, only this time it would come bearing gifts rather than punishments. The rules of this competition were simple; the HouseGuests had to find three symbols that represented powers that the possessors could use to change the game.

Although returning to the Black Box brought up bad memories for David, he would walk away from this competition with more than he left with his first time around. He would end up winning the Disruptor Power, which gave him the ability to remove one nominee from the chopping block at any of the next three Nomination Ceremonies. This power would come in handy the following week when he found himself on the block next to Kevin and was able to use it to take himself off and force the HOH Dani to nominate someone else.

In a season dominated by The Committee, it would be the first real bit of adversity that the group faced.

Da’Vonne wins her first POV

That same week, Da’Vonne would shock everyone by winning the first POV of her Big Brother career. Having lost Bayleigh the following week, and with her ally Kevin still on the block, Da’Vonne knew that the stakes going into that week’s POV competition were high.

Luckily, she would get picked to play alongside Enzo and Ian.

For that week’s competition, the HouseGuests would have to make a pyramid by stacking 15 tiny micro-brew cans on top of one another using large tweezers. Despite going up against some tough competition, Da’Vonne would pull out the win.

Later on, Da’Vonne would tell Kevin that she was concerned she would find herself on the block next to him the following week if she used the POV on him, a sentiment that would later be echoed by Dani, with who Da’Vonne had become closer.

Despite this fear and the realization that she’d be putting Dani in a difficult position, Da’Vonne knew that she couldn’t lose another ally. So despite Dani’s pleas, when it came time for the Veto Meeting, Da’Vonne would choose to use the micro-sized POV on Kevin.

Cody evicts Nicole at the Final 3

By far, the best moment of Big Brother 22 All-Stars came on Finale Night when Cody shocked the audience by choosing to evict Nicole Franzel over Enzo Palumbo. However, no one was more shocked than his fellow Final 3 HouseGuests, with both positive that Cody would take Nicole to the Final 2. In her Exit Interview, Nicole would talk through Cody’s betrayal with Julie, remaining adamant that she wouldn’t have done the same thing to him.

During the Jury Q&A, although she was too upset to make eye contact with him, Nicole would ask Cody if it was ever his intention to take her to the Final Two. To this, Cody would tell her that he did consider taking to her to the end with him, feeling as though she was deserving for being an asset to his game. However, he would reconsider during the final week upon realizing how overlooked her game had been and fearing that if she were able to explain the nuances of her game, she would have enough ammo to win for a second time.

Despite being angry with him, Nicole would accept this answer and would end up being a vote for him to win in what would be a shutout.
