Here’s a look at the live TV ratings for broadcast on Tuesday, Nov. 10

With almost everything back, the live TV ratings are going to be more important than ever. It’s time to look at how everything on broadcast performed.

ABC started with The Bachelorette, but it ended with the special Country Strong 2020. The special performed okay but wasn’t a match for NBC’s Transplant. It pulled in 2.18 million viewers and a 0.4 demo rating.

More from Ratings

That was a big drop from The Bachelorette‘s lead-in. The show, which gave us a look at Tayshia Adams’s first night with the men and a twist I think we all realistically saw coming, was back on Tuesdays after a one-off Thursday episode last week. The episode did see a dip in both demo and audience, with the audience dropping by almost 10% from the previous episode.

However, the show remained in the top spot in the demo at a 1.6 rating. It also pulled in the third-highest audience (second-highest in the timeslot). NCIS is back next week, so it will be interesting to see how that shakes things up.

CBS had a night of reruns except for a new episode of The FBI Declassified. It was one of two shows that saw positive results in both metrics, ticking up 9% in the audience and remaining steady in the demo. It was second in the timeslot in the audience behind Transplant.

NBC won the night in the live TV ratings

Since we mentioned Transplant twice, let’s take a look at NBC’s night. It started with a new episode of The Voice, which ticked up 10% in the demo to a 1.1 rating. It was down 4% in the total audience but remained the best audience of the night. Again, it’s going to be interesting to see how NCIS‘s return shakes things up.

This Is Us, with its Outlander mention, was down in both metrics. This isn’t that surprising coming off a week’s break. However, it came in second in the demo overall, with a 1.3 rating. It was also second-highest in the demo. We don’t need to worry about this show as we know there will be a sixth season.

We won’t look at the ratings for This Is Us in detail too much. The show has already been renewed and it remains one of the top-rated programs on Tuesday nights. We will share if there’s a big drop or upward tick one week.

Transplant is the NBC show we have our eyes on. The Canadian medical drama dipped in both metrics in double digits, but it was the top for the timeslot. CTV has renewed the series, so we’re looking out for whether NBC will pick up that second season or not. We’re hoping for good news!

FOX and The CW’s mixed nights

FOX had the only other show to have positive results in both metrics. Cosmos: Possible Worlds ticked up 5% in the audience and was steady in the demo. The numbers are still low, but there’s a little bit of hope. This show hasn’t been canceled after a few episodes, which has been the case for neXt.

neXt dropped 33% in both the demo and audience. This isn’t all that surprising now that the show has been canceled. Viewers don’t want to be invested in a show that isn’t continuing.

Like we said about Filthy Rich yesterday, we’re not going to touch on the live TV ratings for neXt anymore. The reason we look at the ratings is to see if the shows are likely to be canceled or renewed and we have the decision on this sci-fi series.

The CW continues its Tuesdays with two shows that have already aired on streaming. Swamp Thing dropped another 11% in the audience and 50% in the demo. Many had hoped that the show would be saved from cancellation by being on The CW, but the live ratings haven’t been positive in recent episodes.

Tell Me a Story also saw a 22% dip in the total audience, while steady in the demo. The numbers are low, so it’s unlikely The CW will save this show from cancellation. Fans will remember that it wasn’t picked up for a third season by CBS All Access, but the move to The CW offers a glimmer of hope.
