Which moments from Supernatural Season 15, Episode 19 stood out the most?

There are most definitely spoilers from Supernatural Season 15, Episode 19 in this post.

Okay, here we are. It’s time for the Supernatural Season 15, Episode 19, the penultimate episode of the series. We knew this was going to feel like a season finale with Episode 20 feeling like a series finale. However, I will admit that the ending felt a little series finale-like.

The episode saw the Winchesters go up against Chuck. Would they win or would we have to wait for the finale to see how it all played out? Here are the big WTF moments from Supernatural Season 15, Episode 19.

Michael chose the Winchesters

The first part of the episode felt heavy and strange. Dean, Sam, and Jack were alone in the world. Even the dog that had been left behind disappeared at Chuck’s hands.

It looked like everything was done. They had nothing at all to fight for.

That was until Jack felt a presence. Something else was around. And as the images told us, it turned out to be Michael. Only Michael, by the way. Adam had been sent away at the same time as the others, but Michael had stuck around and chose to fight with the Winchesters. It was time to take down God.

Lucifer’s return

Michael wasn’t the only archangel was back. Lucifer return, with Mark Pellegrino in the role. How did Lucifer get out of the Empty?

He wasn’t honest at first, but what else is new? He brought a chained up reaper and killed her, creating a new Death. That meant Death’s Book could be opened and read.

Awesome, right? Well, it was all a trap. With the book open, Lucifer killed the reaper. God had pulled him out of the Empty to do his bidding.

Michael switches sides

Michael wasn’t going to let Lucifer get away with things. He killed Lucifer. The Winchesters read the book to find out how to kill Chuck, which included a deserted place and a spell.

All good, right? Well, of course, there was another twist to Supernatural Season 15, Episode 19. Never ever trust an archangel.

Michael had told God the big plan to kill him. Chuck was happy but that didn’t save Michael. Chuck killed Michael on the spot. Now Chuck could beat the Winchesters, which he chose to do physically.

The Winchesters knew all along

Don’t worry; the Winchesters knew all along and this was the plan. In a reveal that felt a little like CSI meets Scooby-Doo, Sam and Dean shared they knew what was going on. They’d seen the look on Michael’s face when Lucifer made his big reveal. The Winchesters knew Michael would turn against them. This wasn’t their first rodeo.

They needed to get Michael and Chuck in one place. They needed the archangel and God to use their powers.

It turned out they also knew what was going on with Jack. He was absorbing powers after everything that happened in the Empty when he exploded. Jack absorbed Lucifer’s powers and then absorbed Michael’s powers. As God used his powers to beat the Winchesters, Jack absorbed them too.

He managed to take all of God’s powers. But God isn’t dead. Not quite. He’s human. He’ll grow old and die as a human would.

Jack becomes God

In the end, it ended with some sort of happy ending. By absorbing the powers, Jack had become God.

He was able to bring everyone back from wherever God had sent them. Yes, everyone (including the dog) is back in one piece, and it’s like nothing happened to them. Only the Winchesters and Jack know all.

And so, Jack leaves with Amara combined to him to oversee the world. He’ll be a hands-off God, and hopefully, that’s the way it seems.

The ending gave us a flash of all the characters we’ve loved and lost over the years, giving us a sense of a series finale. Yet, there’s one episode. How will we say goodbye?
