Jenelle Evans and David Eason face backlash again as David is seen with a gun in their home

The backlash continues for Jenelle Evans and David Eason, reports The Blast.

Currently, the married couple find themselves in very hot water after Jenelle shared a video which featured her husband carrying a handgun around the house. Yikes.

On Instagram, the Teen Mom 2 alum gave her following a seemingly innocent glimpse into the day to day activities of her family. In the clip, Jenelle and David are putting away groceries. However, David can be seen with a gun on his hip. Needless to say, that’s where the controversy began, and many remain very concerned.

Right now, it’s unclear what David was thinking. It’s possible he was showing the gun off on purpose, to some extent. As noted by The Blast, it could have been an advertisement of sorts. However, in the clip, that’s not the way it looks or sounds. And even if it was an ad, many online are saying it’s simply not safe around their young children.

In case you missed it, David Eason once admitted to shooting Jenelle’s dog, ultimately ending Eason and Evans’ drama-filled stint on the Teen Mom 2 series. According to David, he’d been protecting his family at the time, after Nugget the French bulldog allegedly attacked their daughter.

So is the gun Eason carries in the video another effort at protecting his family? It’s possible. Still, fans on social media are saying he’s being too casual about the whole thing.

Naturally, Jenelle Evans is coming to her hubby’s defense in the matter. The reality star responded to the concern online by revealing that David carries a gun all the time.

She explained after reading one comment, “David carries all the time, I mean no matter what store we go in…we just got home so, of course, it’s on his hip. He has a holster on his belt.”

This response, of course, didn’t bring those concerned much comfort. After all, the “holster on his belt” and gun on his hip are what fans are taking issue with in the first place.

In turn, many people from Jenelle’s following believe that they are downplaying the seriousness of the situation, per usual.
