What’s next after Warrior Season 2, Episode 7?

It’s taken some time to break down everything that happened on Warrior Season 2, Episode 7. It was a big episode with a lot of power changes and events.

The episode started with Young Jun seizing power over his father. However, he’s not doing things his father’s way when it comes to that transition of power, meaning he could lose everything before he has it. Then there’s Ah Toy who made the choice to leave her young protege with Nellie instead of taking her back to San Francisco.

Of course, the biggest turn of events is going to be everything that went down at the Blake house. That’s going to have a huge knock-on effect for a number of storylines in the final three episodes of the season.

Let’s break down the events by looking at the biggest questions that come from Warrior Season 2, Episode 7.

Will Young Jun be able to hold power?

The start of the episode saw Young Jun take over as leader of the Hop Wei. With everyone learning what he and Ah Sahm had been up to, it only made sense for a change of leadership. The problem is there will still be some who follow Father Jun.

On top of that, Ah Sahm isn’t exactly in this for Young Jun. He has his own plans to take over the tong. How long will Young Jun hold onto power?

Will Zing be executed after all?

The swordsman is still out there. Well, the swordswomen are still out there. The police just haven’t considered a woman in all of this.

Either way, Bill’s case for Zing being the swordsman is close to weakening. There’s been another sword attack. He’s willing to put in a good word for a copper to keep it quiet, but how long before it all gets out?

Will Zing be executed? It seems crazy to think that there won’t be some hail Mary to get him out by his own tong or that Bill’s case will completely crumble. Don’t rule Zing out just yet.

What was Mai Ling looking at?

Mai Ling had a photo. There was a mention of children. Who were they talking about?

My money is on Buckley. This is a guy who has helped Mai Ling get the opium, but she doesn’t trust him. She’ll know there’s some sort of ulterior motive for him to help her. And she needs to exert her power on him right now.

Will Leary back the new Mayor?

Speaking of Buckley, the promo for Warrior Season 2, Episode 8 sees him becoming the new Mayor. With that change in leadership, will it affect anything for Leary?

Buckley wants Leary to use his power to get the Irish votes on the Mayor’s side. At the time, it was all about Samuel Blake, but now it will all be about him. The businessmen don’t want the Exclusion Act to come in, but we know it’s coming. Will Leary exert his influence?

What’s going to happen after everything at the Blake house?

Samuel Blake’s death at the end of the last episode doesn’t just change the leadership. There are a lot of people potentially in trouble. After all, a Chinese man killed Blake, which would be an immediate death sentence. There’s no way Jacob would get a fair trial.

And it’s not like a lot of people will believe Penny and Sophie. Penny is an upstanding citizen, but she’s a woman. She’s the wife of the mayor. Things aren’t going to be easy for the sisters.
