Ready for season 11 of Blue Bloods? You’re not alone, friends.
Like so many productions, COVID-19 complications threw this CBS show’s filming schedule for a loop. In turn, audiences had to wait a little longer than expected for word on when this popular police drama would inevitably return. But not anymore. This week, the wait will finally be over, and just in time for the holidays.
According to various reports, season 11 is set to be shorter than Blue Bloods seasons’ past, but the new episodes aim to explore some very timely issues within the ongoing narratives that are definitely worth exploring in the present. Reported by TV Line, the network has finally locked in a date for its highly anticipated eleventh season and the plot will “tackle both police brutality and the pandemic.”
Unfamiliar with Blue Bloods? Here’s the premise, in a nutshell.
CBS describes the series as:
"a drama about a multi-generational family of cops dedicated to New York City law enforcement. Frank Reagan is the New York Police Commissioner, and heads both the police force and the Reagan brood. He runs his department as diplomatically as he runs his family, even when dealing with the politics that plagued his unapologetically bold father, Henry, during his stint as Chief."
