Station 19: What happened to Sullivan at the hearing?
Sullivan’s disciplinary hearing took place during Station 19 Season 4, Episode 3
There are spoilers from Station 19 Season 4, Episode 3 in this post.
It was time for Sullivan’s disciplinary hearing on Station 19 Season 4, Episode 3. Would he lose his career or get a second chance?
Various people connected to Sullivan’s deception and drug abuse would come up in the episode, including former Chief Dixon. Of course, Dixon turned everything on Sullivan to cover his own tracks, and with a job back in the Seattle Police Department, is that really surprising? This guy is a cockroach, and The 100 proved you can’t get rid of a cockroach (although you can give that character growth).

Even Ben couldn’t help too much. In fact, Ben lost his operating theater on wheels. It was a huge blow, but he doesn’t blame Sullivan for that. Sullivan didn’t purposely try to hurt Ben and the car, but that doesn’t stop him from being angry.
In the end, despite asking them not to be there, the entirety of Station 19 (except Miller, who had suffered a knee dislocation in a call) stood by Sullivan and spoke about the firefighter, chief, and man that he is.
Sullivan gets a second chance on Station 19
It was just what was needed. The board determined Sullivan could remain a firefighter, but he wouldn’t be battalion chief anymore. He wouldn’t even get to be a captain.
Instead, he’s been demoted right down to rookie. Since no other station would have him, it’s up to Maya whether he gets to remain with Station 19.
After the impassioned speeches from everyone, there’s no way she could say no. However, Miller is clearly not happy about the decision.
All we know for now is that Sullivan is now on the same level as Vic, Miller, and so many others. His own wife now outranks him.
What did you think of the decision? Will Ben get his car back? Can Sullivan fit in as a rookie? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
