5 WTF moments from A Million Little Things Season 3, Episode 2
The biggest moments that made us go ‘WTF!’ A Million Little Things Season 3, Episode 2
A Million Little Things Season 3, Episode 2 gave us time in Oxford and showed us Eddie reaching a breaking point. It’s time to break down the events in the episode.
This was not an easy episode to watch for a couple of our favorite characters. Eddie struggled with life not being the same, and it took his friends to help him find some joy in his life again. One thing this show has always done is show that friendships are essential and it really is the little things that count.
So, what were the big WTF moments during the episode? Here are my top five moments from A Million Little Things Season 3, Episode 2.
Eddie reaching his breaking point
The big thing for Eddie was realizing that he couldn’t do everything he wanted. It all started off so great, with Katherine taking Theo to work and getting back on with a few things. Life was starting to return to normal.
However, that’s where it all went wrong. Everyone forgot about Eddie’s wheelchair, leaving it on the opposite side of the room. His phone was also too far out of reach. He was left in his chair all day, and that’s when he reached a breaking point.
It was Gary and Rome who helped him realize that all is not lost. After a game of basketball, Eddie realized that things have to change, but that doesn’t mean it’s all hopeless.
Katherine blaming herself
When Katherine realized what had happened, she immediately blamed herself. It’s too soon to return to work when her husband needs her. She needs to remain home.
There’s no way Eddie would let that happen. Instead, he tells her it’s time to get professional help. He can have an in-house nurse to help him while she’s at work. She’s not giving up on her dream.
I love the partnership the two have gained since about the midpoint of A Million Little Things Season 2. I have a lot of hope for these two during Season 3.
Darcy agreeing to help
Darcy originally told Gary that she wasn’t going to help Eddie. She doesn’t like him, not after what he did to Katherine. She still can’t understand how Katherine could forgive Eddie.
However, in the end, Darcy realized that she does need to step in and help. She needs to be the physical therapist for Eddie, but she’s not doing it for him. There’s no way she wants to see Katherine give up everything for Eddie, so she’s going it for Katherine.
Maggie and Jamie striking up a bond
Over in Oxford, we got to see Maggie and Jamie getting to know each other. There’s a moment where Jamie opens up about his hatred for therapists, and it all stems to a therapist not following the rules of doctor-patient confidentiality.
As Maggie listens and verifies that his anger is warranted, they have a chance to bond. It also helps that they’ve found a trunk full of weird and wonderful stuff from the guy that dropped out of the program Maggie is now in.
What will this bond lead to throughout A Million Little Things Season 3?
Rome and Regina struggling to connect
While some relationships strengthened, there was one that has become weaker. Rome and Regina are struggling to connect as they grieve alone. Rome doesn’t feel like his feelings are allowed, while Regina feels alone in her grief.
It all comes to a head during A Million Little Things Season 3, Episode 2. Rome is angry that Regina got rid of the baby stuff without talking to him. However, all she did was put it in storage. The adoption talk isn’t off the table, but the two need to work together. They are the couple we’re all rooting for, and it’s time to get back on the same page.
