Ready for more action-packed episodes of Vikings? Good news! The second half of season 6 of the popular historical drama series will be premiering at the end of the month via Amazon Prime Video prior to its History Channel release.

Fans all over social media seem to be getting pretty excited about it. Being on the verge of the second half of season 6, of course, also has many fans already eager and ready to know if and when the latest installment will be followed by another.

We’re here with the scoop on season 7, as it stands. But first, here’s the plot of Vikings, in a nutshell.

What is Vikings about?

History.com describes the series starring Alexander Ludwig with:

"Bjorn Ironside has ambitions for the Kingdom of Kattegat, he dreams of peace and prosperity, but the fates have a different plan for the new King. A threat is looming, an enemy is resurgent–so much more ruthless than the rest. Lagertha too has dreams, to bury her sword and return to the simple life. But as enemy forces gather, Bjorn and Lagertha will rise to the challenge, because they are Viking heroes and can never surrender."

When is Vikings ending?

So far, each season of Vikings has done pretty well with audiences, and not too shabby with the critics. For the first half of season 6, it has an impressive 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. The first 10 episodes of season 6 aired on the History Channel from December 2019 to February 2020.

The second half of season 6 is premiering on December 30. But unfortunately, it looks like this will be the last season for Vikings. Reported by Variety, the upcoming episodes will mark the final ones in the series.

So when can we watch the final episodes of Vikings? The 10 episodes of the second half of season 6 will debut on Amazon Prime Video on December 30. According to Variety, the release will be made available for users in the US, the UK, Germany, Austria, and Ireland.

The release date for when the final episodes will debut on the History Channel has not yet been announced.
