Brace yourself, pop-a-holics! After cancellation rumors and a longer-than-usual wait, it looks like Dr. Pimple Popper is finally returning to TV this month. And so, there’s no time like the present to get ready for it. So let’s!

If you’re unfamiliar with the TLC medical reality show, no worries. Here’s the Dr. Pimple Popper premise. As you might’ve guessed, the title for this one is pretty self-explanatory.

Next Season TV describes the straightforward, pimple popping plot as follows:

"Dermatologist Sandra Lee, aka Dr. Pimple Popper, helps patients with unique skin conditions reclaim a life free of disguise and embarrassment."

Along with all of those sometimes-shocking squeezing and popping, lovely Dr. Sandra Lee often touches the lives of her patients with unique cases, forming memorable bonds season after season. And now it’s time for more.

When is Dr. Pimple Popper returning on TLC?

According to Premiere Date, the popular series will be returning to TLC Monday, December 21 at 9:00 p.m. ET with a holiday-themed special called “Dr. Pimple Popper: Season’s Squeezings.” How festive.

A TLC press release for the popular series states:

"Back by popular demand, new episodes of fan-favorite DR. PIMPLE POPPER will premiere on TLC Monday, December 21 at 9pm/ET/PT with a holiday-themed special, DR. PIMPLE POPPER: SEASON’S SQUEEZINGS, and settle in to its new timeslot the following week with all new episodes showcasing some of the most outrageous cases yet, beginning Monday, December 28 at 9pm ET/PT."

The upcoming season is going to be a little different than Dr. Pimple Popper‘s past. As noted by TV Series Finale, Dr. Lee had to consult with patients virtually due to the pandemic and so, the premise as a whole required some shifting.

No matter what’s had to change along the way, pop-a-holics can’t wait to see how it all turns out in season five. If you’re one of many who can’t get enough, you might want to check out Save My Skin, which is considered to be its British counterpart.

And in the meantime, get ready to watch the new season of Dr. Pimple Popper when it airs December 21 on TLC!
