Cursed is one of the TV shows likely to be canceled in 2021

It’s a difficult year for TV. Broadcast and streaming networks have struggled to get their shows filming, which has meant more acquisitions and lower-than-normal live TV ratings. It makes it harder to look at the TV shows likely to be canceled in 2021.

Usually, I offer up 30 TV shows likely to be canceled each year. Because many networks have either made decisions or they’ve pushed their fall programming to January, it’s harder to make a few calls. So, I’m cutting it down to 13 TV shows.

This covers streaming, premium cable, and broadcast networks. There may be a few decisions coming in just before 2020 ends, but right now, all the shows on this list are “pending” decisions.

Cursed

I hate to put this one on my list. Cursed was a firm favorite in our house. It was an excellent retelling of the Arthurian legend, offering some intriguing characters. Those who know the Arthurian legends well would find a lot of Easter eggs within it. Those who didn’t could still sit back and enjoy.

The series dropped on Netflix in July 2020. It still hasn’t been canceled or renewed. For Netflix to leave it this long, I have to say there’s a strong chance it’s going to be canceled.

We need more fantasy with strong and complicated characters, so the cancellation will be a shame if it happens.
