Who was arrested at the end of the Station 19 Season 4 winter finale

Station 19 promised us an intense winter finale, and it didn’t disappoint. What started as an episode focused on two kidnapped teenage girls ended with an altercation with the police. Two of the firefighters were arrested, but who and why?

The incident started with a woman crying out for help. Three of our firefighters rushed to help, with each of them wanting to help in their own way and for their own reason. Eventually, the whole of Station 19 was there, along with the cops.

The cops weren’t there to get the girls, though. The homeowner had called about a disturbance. Of course, the cops were more willing to believe the white man who owned the house rather than the Black mother with no proof except that her daughter’s FitBit device’s geotag pinged at the house.

The girls start a fire to get attention

Miller wanted to pretend a gas leak smell to get into the house, but the teenage girls in the house took care of the problem. They set a fire to get attention.

It was nearly fatal, though. The girls weren’t just locked in the basement. There were old mattresses in front of the door to cover it. Fortunately, Miller and Sullivan were not about to give up on them and they risked their own lives to save the girls.

It turned out okay for the girls. They got out of the house and were rushed to Grey Sloan Memorial. However, the homeowner claimed the girls broke in and started the fire. The girls even admitted to the fire in front of a racist cop.

That naturally started an altercation. Rather than paying attention to the fact that these girls had been kidnapped, the racist cop decided to turn the focus on the girls starting a fire. “They said they were kidnapped,” was pretty much what he said about the girls.

One of the girls’ moms kicked off. And honestly, I wanted to punch that cop in the face too.

As she was arrested, Miller rushed at the cop. That ended up with him being arrested, and the whole of Station 19 got involved. As Andy was pushed to the ground by a cop, Sullivan fought back only to have guns trained on him.

Miller and Sullivan were both arrested. What for? Obstruction of justice, breaking and entering, you take your pick. The racist cop didn’t care. He just wanted the two firefighters arrested.

That’s where we leave the team until March. Miller and Sullivan were taken away in cop cars while the others could just watch on in shock, despair, and anger.

And if the Station 19 Season 4 winter finale doesn’t show you that the world needs to own up to racism and actually do something to change that, then I’m just not sure what will. But something really does need to happen so Black girls don’t just become a statistic and their disappearances are taken seriously.
