The Princess Switch & The Princess Switch: Switched Again
If double Vanessa Hudgens is your thing, or triple in the case of the sequel, then this movie is for you. In the first film, Vanessa Hudgens stars as both Chicago baker Stacy De Novo and as Margaret Duchess of Montenaro.
When Stacy and her best friend Kevin take a trip to Belgravia for a baking competition she meets Margaret and the two realize their resemblance and quickly decide to switch places. Margaret will get to experience being a normal girl before her marriage to Prince Edward of Belgravia and Stacy will get to live the royal life for a time. Hijinks and Christmas romance ensues and the ending is sweeter than the treats Stacy bakes.
In the sequel, the gang all gathers together again in Montenaro for a festive holiday season to celebrate Margaret’s coronation. Only this time there’s another Vanessa Hudgens added to the mix. Lady Fiona Pembroke is another look-alike who has her eyes set on Margaret’s life.
There’s plenty of romance and holiday cheer and mistaken identities to keep you entertained on a cold winter day. It also has a cameo from a beloved couple who star in other Netflix Christmas movies.
