When is Teen Mom OG coming back for season 9?

Get ready, Teen Mom OG fans! The time has almost come for the next season.

The hit MTV series is officially returning for its highly-anticipated ninth season. This time around, however, the moms are “rising up” as they continue to adjust to “the new normal” amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. And if there was ever a season to not miss out on, it might be this one, everyone.

Teen Mom OG season 9 release date

As reported by Screen Rant, fans of the series will get to watch season nine quite a bit sooner than initially expected. After all, season 8 ended during the summer of 2020. Back then, we’d all prepared ourselves for a long wait, all things considered. But this time around, Teen Mom OG will return to its regular time slot, on January 26, 2021.

All five moms from the previous season–Amber Portwood, Catelynn Lowell, Cheyenne Floyd, Maci Bookout, and Mackenzie McKee–will be returning for the ninth season.

As noted by Screen Rant, the moms will be doing more than just adjusting to their altered day-to-day ways of life. Reportedly, each cast member will also be sharing their “personal difficulties and achievements” and fans will get the chance to see each OG cast member in a few new and unexpected lights.

The publication also notes that most of season nine was shot during the COVID-19 pandemic. So if nothing else, we should likely prepare ourselves for things to get more personal and perhaps a bit more reflective for the moms than seasons past. And of course, we predict it’s going to be totally binge-worthy, but that’s nothing new!
