Curious about the cast of The Stand? Can’t say we blame you! The highly-buzzed-about miniseries certainly has no shortage of talent. Case in point: Odessa Young, better known as Frannie Goldsmith in the Stephen King adaptation.
As noted by CBR, Frannie is actually one of the most important characters in Stephen King’s critically acclaimed novel of the same name. For the CBS All Access adaptation, Frannie sets out to “rebuild civilization in Boulder, Colorado, as the last remnants of society plunge into a war between good and evil.” According to the publication, Young worked with production to completely “modernize” her character, and from the looks of it those efforts definitely paid off.
