Is there any way Bravo Team can save Ray on SEAL Team?

Caution: There are spoilers from SEAL Team Season 4, Episode 5 in this post.

SEAL Team returned after it’s winter break to give us a look at Ray’s harrowing situation. Now we know where he’s being kept. Well, sort of!

Throughout the episode, we just watched Ray deal with captivity. He’s just trying to remain strong while he figures out a way to escape. Captivity is taking its toll, and it will certainly be all the worse now that his captivity roomie has been captured.

However, Ray is strong. If anyone can get through this, he can. The problem is he’s holding onto hope that Bravo Team can find him, and at the very end of the episode, we realized that’s going to be next to impossible.

Ray is no longer on dry land on SEAL Team

Throughout the episode, it looked like Ray was being kept underground somewhere. That would make sense under normal circumstances, but it turns out it’s not the case.

His captors have put him on a boat. And it’s big enough so he has absolutely no idea that’s the case. The only clue he’ll have had is that the TV wasn’t getting a signal, because they’re too far out at sea.

Finding Ray on dry land would be hard enough for Bravo Team. Finding him on water is going to be so much harder.

Will Ray give up when he realizes?

So far, Ray has no idea that he’s on a ship in the middle of the sea. That’s good for him mentally. He still has hope that he can be found by his team.

When (and we know it’s a when) he finds out that he’s on a ship, things are going to change. That last bit of hope will disappear. In the promo for the new episode (in two weeks due to the inauguration), we see Ray leaving a goodbye message. He’s sure that he’s done for.

We need Ray to hold on. Captivity is a mental thing as much as it is a physical thing.

I say again; if anyone can get through this, Ray can.
