If you love live-action thrillers based on excellent Japanese manga, there’s no doubt you immediately binge-watched Alice in Borderland. Now you want to know everything you can about Alice in Borderland Season 2.

The great news is a second season is coming. Netflix renewed the series just two weeks after it dropped, offering us an awesome Christmas present. Did Netflix give any other details?

Sadly, there isn’t much right now. However, this is a great post to bookmark because we’ll bring the updates as soon as we get them. For now, here’s everything we know about Alice in Borderland Season 2 so far.

Alice in Borderland Season 2 release date

We don’t have a release date just yet. However, the early renewal is a good sign of the season coming sooner rather than later.

Usually, it takes about 14 to 18 months for a new season to drop on Netflix. So, under normal circumstances, we could see Alice in Borderland Season 2 in February 2022 at the earliest.

Everywhere is filming under pandemic protocols right now, which means things are taking a little longer than normal. We’ll be sure to let you know when there’s an idea of the season dropping.

Alice in Borderland Season 2 cast

The second season has only just been confirmed. The writers will be currently at work planning out the season, but it would be safe to assume that all the main actors will return.

We’re looking at Kento Yamazaki, Aya Asahina, Nijiro Murakami, Riisa Naka, and Tao Tsuchiya returning to the series.

We’ll get to know more about this closer to the release of the season. While filming happens, we may also hear about new cast members joining. This is something we’ll update as we get it.

Of course, there’s been nothing filmed just yet. That means there isn’t a trailer for the new season right now.

Like the trailer, nothing has been filmed yet. We don’t even know if writing has happened just yet. There isn’t a synopsis for the second season.

There’s no need to worry about the show running out of source material. There are 18 volumes to Alice in Borderland and the first season touched just a few of the storylines. They’re worth reading to get an idea of what is to come in the series.
