Cobra Kai theory: Is Robby the Anakin Skywalker of The Karate Kid Universe?
By Noah Mussay
3. Others took advantage of those perceived betrayals
Unfortunately, she was with Miguel, leading to an argument that almost resulted in another showdown between Robby and Miguel.
Feeling betrayed by everyone he used to care about and with his mother out of commission, Robby sought respite in Kreese, who he’d rebuffed earlier in the season, and the Cobra Kai dojo.
By preying on these emotions, Kreese solidified Robby’s loyalty much like Palpatine preyed on the growing tensions between Anakin and the Jedi Council to solidify Anakin’s. Now, Kreese has made Robby financially dependent on him.
With Robby now donning his own super-villain suit, the Cobra Kai gi, and the soon arrival of Kreese’s greatest weapon, Terry Silver, it looks as though Robby will soon get molded into the greatest super-villain of The Karate Kid series.
The only question that remains for us is; whether or not, like Darth Vader, he will find his way to redemption.
Will it take going down this dark path with the two most dangerous men that will finally set him on the straight-and-narrow, or like Vader, will it take a lifetime of devastating mistakes before he can redeem himself?
Do you agree with this theory? What cool super-villain name do you think Robby would have if he were in the Star Wars universe?
Cobra Kai is now streaming on Netflix.
