Last time, Mr. Honey canceled the senior prom, which prompted the gang to fantasize about revenge while also making sure to get even with their twisted principal. Meanwhile, “the auteur” sent Betty and Jughead on the hunt for the next videotape, a startling depiction of Mr. Honey’s murder from Jughead’s story.

In Riverdale Season 5, Episode 1, the final preparations for the prom they fought for getting underway as Cheryl discovers a secret Toni has been keeping, and Bughead digs into the next clue into the videotape mystery.

Their investigation leads to underground red-band screenings, which does not sound good at all. Elsewhere, Archie dukes it out in the ring with a familiar face from the unfortunately canceled sister series Katy Keene. Elsewhere, in order to impress the visiting Naval Academy Commandant, Archie (KJ Apa) agrees to participate in a boxing exhibition against another candidate – KO Kelly (guest star Zane Holtz). Meanwhile, as Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) prepares for prom, she stumbles upon a major secret that Toni’s (Vanessa Morgan) been keeping from her."
