After 15 seasons of Supernatural, star Jared Padalecki is finally sowing his wild oats with a brand new series on The CW. Tonight Walker Season 1 premieres on the network and introduces us to  Cordell Walker (Padalecki), a widower and father of two who returns to Austin, Texas after being undercover for two years. Back in Austin, Cordell quickly discovers that there is a lot of work to be done in his hometown.

If the name of the series sounds familiar, that’s because Walker is The CW’s bread-and-butter—a.k.a. a reboot. This new series is a reimagining of Walker, Texas Ranger. Padalecki will tackle the character made famous by Chuck Norris.

Throughout the first season, we’ll see Cordell contend with his children—including his thoughtful son and rebellious teenage daughter. He’ll also get wrapped up in the suspicious circumstances surrounding his late wife’s death.

Apart from Padalecki, the new series also stars Lindsey Morgan, Keegan Allen, Mitch Pileggi, Molly Hagan, Coby Bell, Jeff Pierre, Violet Brinson, and Kale Culley. It’ll be interesting to see Pileggi and Padalecki reuniting again after they briefly co-starred on Supernatural. Pileggi played Samuel in the long-running series.

Fans will also recognize the 38-year-old actor’s real-life wife and fellow actress Genevieve  Padalecki in the role of Cordell’s late wife Emily. I’m guessing she’ll be popping up in some flashbacks throughout the show. She also appeared on Supernatural, playing the demon Ruby. That’s how the two originally met!
