The 118 continue to deal with the aftermath of the landslide from the dam break. Here are the WTF moments from 9-1-1 Season 4, Episode 2.

During the premiere episode, the dam broke. If only that was the biggest thing that would happen. Sure, it’s not the level of a tsunami, but the broken dam led to a landslide.

The 118 was separated during the episode. Buck and Chimney were in Hollywood Hills to search for survivors in the rubble while Bobby took the others to the Hollywood sign to some teenage trespassers.

Meanwhile, Athena faced her fear and helped a stranger face her own. Here’s a look at the WTF moments from 9-1-1 Season 4, Episode 2.

A declaration of love on 9-1-1 Season 4, Episode 2

Three teenagers decided to go hiking to the Hollywood sign. Of course, it’s trespassing, but one of them didn’t really care. And another was more impressed with the sign, but did admit that they were trespassing. The other just didn’t want to be there, but that would be the least of his problems when he ended up stuck in mud that was acting a little like quicksand.

While Bobby and Eddie put together a ladder to get the kid out, he decided to declare his love for his roommate’s girlfriend. That probably wouldn’t have been too bad, but then the girlfriend declared her love for the friend.

That’s going to be an awkward life afterward. I don’t think any of them will remain friends.

May telling her mom to get out of there

May had to learn how to separate her own life from the life as a 9-1-1 dispatcher. Naturally, she was worried about her mom during 9-1-1 Season 4, Episode 2. However, she crossed the line when she told her mom to leave the woman her mom was helping.

Maddie wasn’t mad. She understood why May jumped on the call. However, it gave Maddie a chance to explain more about the role of dispatcher. It’s hard when people you love are out there, but a dispatcher is a lifeline to the strangers out there.

Athena points out that May has made a lot of sudden changes and understands if May wants to quit. She’s not going to do that, though. This is what she wants to do.

Buck judging Chimney

While Maddie offered her words of advice, Buck offered his while also judging Chimney. Chimney is still sleeping on Buck’s couch to “protect Maddie and the baby,” but isn’t being a present father. What’s going to happen if the pandemic continues?

Chim doesn’t realize he’s doing anything wrong. It’s only when he’s later delivering a baby and the girl cries out that she doesn’t want to do it alone that he realizes what he’s doing.

The pregnant women in the house

Wait, Chim delivering a baby? One of the biggest WTF moments from 9-1-1 Season 4, Episode 2 has to be the baby through the monitor. Fortunately, Buck and Chimney managed to find the house the baby was in and off went Chimney down the chimney to save the baby.

The baby was fine but the “mother”, but the 118 was in for a bigger shock. The mother wasn’t the mother at all. She had a locked room full of pregnant women, with one of them going into labor.

As shocking as it was, it came with a good note. It was just what Chimney needed to realize he needed to go home.

Athena’s honesty with a stranger

At the end of the premiere, Athena and the agoraphobic woman ended up with the house falling down the hillside. That led to an episode of Athena trapped in a dangerous situation when she was just supposed to be on desk duty.

While they’re trapped, Athena and the woman have a heart to heart. Athena admits that she was terrified after her attack, but not for reasons that you’d think. She blamed herself for the attack for running in without backup. She was alone and scared.

Why is it that it takes a stranger to be able to open up to someone? Well, it turns out that stranger isn’t just anyone. Many have opened up to her, including Buck. The agoraphobic doctor is Buck’s “COVID lady friend.”
