Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist Season 2 has, so far, been a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. The season started out with an understandable low moment for Zoey. Episode 2, on the other hand, was all about Zoey and Max hooking up.

But then grief reared its ugly head again in Episode 3. It wasn’t really a surprise, given how short of a time it had been since Zoey’s dad died. That doesn’t mean it didn’t hurt, though.

That brings us to Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist Season 2, Episode 4, “Zoey’s Extraordinary Employee.” This latest chapter of Zoey’s story is coming after that crushing breakup with Max. So, the question on everyone’s mind is: What’s next?

Lost somewhere in all the big relationship breakthroughs (and breakdowns) is the fact that Zoey got a pretty big promotion when Joan left. Mo and Max are also trying to start a new business. It doesn’t matter that Zoey’s dad died mere weeks ago or that Max just got dumped—work life still goes on.

If the title didn’t give enough away, yes, there’s trouble for Zoey at SPRQ Point in “Zoey’s Extraordinary Employee.” We are, of course, not going to tell you what kind of trouble. That wouldn’t be any fun at all.

Here’s a quick teaser, though: The employee is not who you might be worried it is. With that being said, you might kind of wish it was him by the time the hour is over.

So, what can we tell you to expect from Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist Season 2, Episode 4? Here’s the synopsis:

"Zoey experiences complications as she tries to be happy. David reevaluates the important matters in his life; Mo and Max deal with their first real challenge as business partners."

The key phrase in that whole explanation would be “tries to be happy.” But is it really that easy to just choose an emotion and go with it?

Isn’t that kind of what Zoey tried to do when she finally took the leap with Max? We all know how that ended, so will this latest attempt at finding happiness so soon after Mitch’s death have better results?
