Shameless Season 11, Episode 5 is set to air Sunday, Jan. 31 and it looks to be a very eventful episode for many characters. After a small hiatus at the end of 2020 and then two weekends in a row without new episodes in January, it feels like Shameless Season 11 is moving along at a much slower pace than previous seasons.

While we would love to see new episodes more frequently, we’re also kind of grateful that the season is stretched out longer because we just don’t want it to end! Ian and Mickey are trying to take their security company to the next level, and we’re predicting that they’re going to become even more successful with the business because Showtime has teased that the couple will have to “get creative” in order to keep the gig going strong.

In the previous episode, we saw the Milkovich family take over Wallace St. while Kev, Frank, and Liam teamed-up to try and be rid of them—only for their plan to backfire. This week, the boys aren’t finished working to take them down. Based on the trailer, it looks like Frank will have to convince Kev that the best way to get rid of them is by removing the woman who owns the house, but you can see from the trailer that she’s much tougher than she looks.

Lip and Tami’s world is turned upside down once again in Shameless Season 11, Episode 5 when they learn that the house they’ve been renting is being put up for sale, and we also learned Veronica is going to focus her attention on a local election that changes her impression of the Southside. Debbie’s going on a different kind of adventure with Franny this week. After competing in the beauty pageant, Franny wants to go to a comic book signing for her favorite wrestler, except the event is being held at a strip club.

Over the course of the season, we’ve seen Carl face strong opposition from his training officers on his opinion of what policing should look like on the Southside. And in Shameless Season 11, Episode 5, Carl and Leesie’s “differing approaches” to how they police the neighborhood on the job are going to “come to a head.”

Though he’s sometimes overlooked, Carl’s storyline is one of the strongest over the course of the 11 seasons, and we’re excited to see how he continues to carve out his own path for himself in the final episodes.
