What secret is Maddie keeping on 9-1-1 Season 4?

Maddie is keeping a big secret on 9-1-1 Season 4. In fact, her parents are too. What is this secret and how does it involve Buck?

It clearly involves Buck. Maddie mentions how they have lied to “him,” which certainly suggests that it’s something to do with Buck’s past. The biggest question is what that is.

Maddie has told Chimney. The synopsis for the next episode makes a little more sense now. When Maddie and Buck’s parents come to town, Chimney has to keep this secret. So, it turns out he’s keeping the secret from Buck.

What could the secret be on 9-1-1 Season 4, Episode 3

This has come up since Buck admitted that he’s seeing a therapist. He needs help with something going on in his own life, not something that he’s experienced while on his job.

This has been the moment that terrified Maddie. She called her parents, despite clearly not getting along with them. It suggests that something happened in Buck’s past that Maddie worries is coming up.

Has his brain protected him from some sort of trauma? The brain does weird things, and Maddie may be worried that the truth is forcing its way to the surface.

But it still comes back to Maddie saying they’re lying to him. The obvious answer would be that he’s adopted, but that doesn’t seem like something that Buck talking to a therapist would make Maddie concerned. So, has something happened in the past that Buck has forgotten and the rest of the family changed the story?

It shouldn’t be long until we find out. Then it will be a case of watching how Buck handles the truth that is about to come out. He’ll certainly need his therapist afterward.
