Cruz is shaken after a bad call that leaves Casey and Severide searching for answers on Chicago Fire Season 9, Episode 7. Don’t miss the episode live.

The promo tells us all we need to know about the main storyline for the week. An explosion at a homeless camp leaves the entirety of Firehouse 51 on edge. One of our own is put at risk.

It’s Cruz again. The poor guy only just got out of the elevator that got stuck between floors! Now he’s going to end up almost blown up, which is sure to leave a few mental scars. This is the guy who is expecting his first child, and he wants to be excited about that. I can’t help but get the feeling he’s going to start questioning his job despite loving it because of all the danger recently.

The good news is Cruz is not alone on Chicago Fire Season 9, Episode 7. He’s going to have his entire team rallying around him. In fact, he’s got his lieutenant and captain looking for answers.

It’s attempted murder on Chicago Fire Season 9, Episode 7

Casey is angry about the attack. This wasn’t just a case of blowing up a homeless camp. Someone wanted to kill people.

“It’s attempted murder,” Casey tells, presumably, Chief Boden. He and Severide want answers abotu everything that’s happened, so they’ll probably put themselves in the middle of the investigation that could see a couple of Chicago PD‘s characters turn up.

Will there be a lighter story of the week? I think we can rely on Ritter for that, as he helps a stranger.

Check out the promo and synopsis for Chicago Fire Season 9, Episode 7:

"A fire at a homeless encampment leaves Severide and Casey searching for answers. Cruz is shaken up after a close call. Ritter lends a helping hand to a victim."
