It’s seven years into the future on Riverdale Season 5, and the whole gang has gotten back together in the name of saving their beloved town. When Archie touched down in Riverdale after serving on the frontlines, he finds his hometown in shambles at the hands of none other than Hiram Lodge.

After Toni fills him in on what’s been going down in town, Archie does what he does best as a leader and calls on his old pals for a reunion. Since leaving high school, the gang hasn’t so much as spoken — even Bughead! But now they’re reunited, and let’s hope it feels so good.

In Riverdale Season 5, Episode 5, Archie bounces back from the gang’s hesitance to return home to save the town by teaming up with Toni, Alice, and Kevin to save Riverdale High from permanent closure due to Hiram’s very unsurprising budget cuts.

Elsewhere, the mysterious circumstances surrounding Veronica’s marriage heat up when she realizes her husband, Chad, has been having her followed. Meanwhile, Jughead accepts a new job when his struggling writing career sends debt collectors hunting him down in Riverdale.
